Research is being carried out as part of a project to identify unreported items of electrical waste. This project will be concluded by the end of 2019.
Carried out alongside two Producer Compliance Schemes, Valpak and Repic, a team at Lancaster University have undertaken the project which has cost in the region of £200,000. This has been funded by the Compliance Scheme Fund.
The fund is made up from money collected from Producer Compliance Schemes who have failed to meet their collection targets for the year.
