Wardley Biogas Ltd successfully injected Biomethane via Northern Gas Networks, into The National Grid on 23/12/2019 and on the same day the plant received its EA Environmental Waste Permit. The plant can dispose of up to 80,000 tonnes annually of food and other organic wastes, whether these be packaged, palleted, in IBCs if liquid, or by bulk tankers. The digestate, (The liquid material left after digestion) is a high-value fertiliser which goes back onto local agricultural land, to encourage the next generation of growth.
