It has been announced that the money from the WEEE Compliance scheme fund from 2017 will be distributed utilising an evidence based approach method. The £8milion fund which is made up by fees paid by Producer Compliance Schemes should they miss there collection targets will be used in order to fund further collection of WEEE in the coming year. One project which the fund will go towards has been announced but AATFS, Stakeholders and government officials are allowed to put forward further projects which they would like to receive funding towards.
