Industry Experts have voiced that the targets put in place by the Government for WEEE waste are definitely that of a challenge. Although figures of collections appear to be on the rise from previous quarters, the increase may still not be ample to meet the targets put in place.
Targets for the previous years have been missed consecutively and as a result over £10million has been collected in fees. The target this year is a 12% increase from last year. Unless collections continue to increase at a rapid amount, it appears targets will likely be missed for another year.
