Electrical Waste Processing

WEEE is often described as anything that is powered via electricity or batteries.

Maximising reuse and recycle

The WEEE Directive requires companies to work to a waste hierarchy where disposal is the least preferred option. As a result, we always endeavour to maximise reuse and recycle wherever possible.

For various reasons such as security, recalled stock or simply on commercial grounds, some clients wish for their waste to be fully shredded and separated. This is not a problem and we work with you to produce the service you and your business require.

Convenient electrical waste processing services

Our largest source of waste for treatment arrives from council Household Waste Reception Centres (HWRCs) where national figures estimate under 1% recovery and reuse is achieved. With this in mind, GAP Waste installed a state-of-the-art 5 tonnes/hour WEEE processing facility at our 6-acre freehold site on Tyneside.

We offer various collection methods for all WEEE streams throughout the UK. This includes container solutions dispatched to and collected from your site, through to accepting inbound full truckloads on a gate price basis. All waste is quantified on our weighbridge and then processed within a highly transparent and auditable facility.
