This month sees prices proposed for cardboard at an all time low. The fees are expected to fall as low as £45 per tonne.
Last Autumn, due to demand from China, prices were as high as £185 per tonne but due to the decreasing demand and reduced orders from China- the need has decreased immensely.
As a result, Waste Management companies across the UK are having to increase their charges and re introduce a collection fee, in particular where small volumes are concerned.
