Digital Waste Project to be Funded by DEFRA

Waste is to be tracked from its source all the way through to its final disposal in a project which will go live in the coming months.
The project, which is to be funded by DEFRA and will have a total investment of over £400,000 will have a solution developed which will enable waste to be tracked throughout its journey. DEFRA have said regarding the project that it wishes to know more about the journey of waste, where its produced, how its treated and what happens from there.
The project is said that it should help tackle waste crime which is a huge issue in the UK.
